Arka Technologies now offers Water Jet cutting as solution to your prototyping and low volume costs by eliminating tooling costs.

Water Jet cutting processes begin with a water of the highest purity that is pressurized to 50,000 psi and then released through a small orifice. The material is eroded away with a tolerance accuracy of up to 0.2mm. This process is used for soft materials such as thermal interface materials and silicones.

For harder materials, such as metal, glass, and stone, the Abrasive Waterjet Process is used. This is where an abrasive is added into the waterjet stream and accelerated to speeds faster than the speed of sound. The abrasive speeds the erosion process and allows processing of harder materials up to 6" thick.

The cutting process is controlled by CAD software. Arka Technologies' capabilities include the generation of custom designs to meet your specifications or alternatively the ability to use customers' existing files or drawings.
